Welcome to the December Pier. In the depths of the bustling city of New York City, lies the decrepit (but never the less expansive!) apartment complex of the December Pier. Situated between a commercial drug store, and a coffee house, the complex is residence to an astonishing two-hundred plus tenants, and even a few leaseholders. Because the Pier caters towards the more impecunious residents of the New York area, rent is only six hundred dollars a month – and even then, some are just barely scraping to make ends meet. The residents of the December Pier are a motley crew, no doubt about that – whether they’re fresh out of college or single mothers who want nothing more to escape their devoid state of life.
